I am back from my three-week adventure and I feel better than I felt in a number of months. This experience has led to personal growth, intense thought, a relationship which has reached an entirely new level, and the rebirth of PASSION. In my last message, which was sent prior to the business trips and vacation with Lindsay, I decided to be completely transparent and share the contradictions which were “eating away” at my existence.

A number of months ago, I discussed the concept of being constipated with emotions and unable to express yourself due to the fear of what might manifest. In essence, I am referring to being vulnerable and allowing your “weaknesses,” to be revealed to the world without even considering the consequences. During my three month “funk,” I was unable to take my own advice and I allowed my fuel, or in other words my emotions, to fester inside and steal my existence. This was a difficult yet profound period of my life because it forced me to assess what Jared Yellin is all about and then to redefine, and continue to recreate the who I am, the what I stand for, and the what makes me…me. I realized that an identity is not something that we achieve, but rather a process we must immerse ourselves in, even if we are uncomfortable as a result of the unknown. But as I have shared, I had many people in my life telling me what I already new and asking me all of the right questions, but the problem was that I was unwilling to provide the honest answers as to why I was experiencing a loss of identity. And then Lindsay opened my eyes and forced me to go through a process of introspection, in which honesty was my only choice, as she enlightened me to find myself once again—the passionate, the motivated, and the determined Jared Yellin who had and will always have the vision of spearheading the IDENTITY REVOLUTION.

My intention behind this message is not to reiterate the lessons that I have learned because you are more than welcomed to read my prior message entitled, I Am No Different Than You, but rather to share something with you that signifies the Law of Attraction, the Power of Perspective, or simply opening our eyes to the endless possibilities on the horizon. Because on July 9^th , as I was enjoying my romantic vacation in Costa Rica with Lindsay, the unexpected happened when I was published on one of the most influential personal development websites, “My Daily Insights.” This occurrence is extremely symbolic because “My Daily Insights” was one of the first introductions to motivation, personal development, and the concept that our words hold enough power to change the way we do things. When I became a subscriber about seven years ago, I always dreamed of having a quote or a piece of my writing published so that the world could be introduced to Jared Yellin and experience his passion for life. The irony of this particular situation is that I submitted this article, I Will Be Happy When, about seven months ago, and it was not published until my perspective on life was at a point where the message would resonate in the lives of the masses. I firmly believe that if I remained in that funk, this piece of writing would have never been presented to the 1,000’s of people who subscribe to this site, and as a result, many people’s lives would not have been touched and potentially changed. I had literally 100’s of people write to me as a result of this publication expressing their gratitude for my words and their desire to stay connected. This defies the concept that our thoughts are real, they are tangible, and once we decide to take control of them, anything and everything becomes possible as it is attracted into our existence. Many of you might think this is “new age philosophy,” or quirky, or far too spiritual, but I am here to tell you that regardless of what you think, this power exists for all of us. But you are in charge of when it will enter into your existence because once you make the conscious choice to look at your world through a different perspective, I guarantee that opportunities will become apparent that you never noticed before.

For those who do not believe in these concepts, I want you make sure that you understand that I am not trying to convince you to think differently than you have in the past, but if for some reason you keep on doing (or thinking) the same thing over and over, and have yet to manifest the results that you desire, then I encourage you to give this philosophy a chance. It is by no means simple, nor will the results happen overnight, but with a consistent effort and the consciousness to focus on everything that you have in the world, as opposed to what has yet to be achieved, I firmly believe that you will also experience something incredible.

That is enough from me as I do not want to preach, but what I want to do is let you know that the next few blog posts will be lessons that I have learned during my travels. I forced myself to be open to any experience that would present itself in my life and as a result, I have a variety of topics to share that I believe you will enjoy.

I also wanted to welcome over 590 subscribers to BRANDENTITY that have joined as a result of “MYDAILYINSIGHTS.” I want you to realize that this is not just another personal development blog, but rather a movement, or in other words, an IDENTITY REVOLUTION where you will begin to realize who you are, what you stand for, and what makes you…YOU. During a recent Mastermind with one of the groups I am involved with, we began discussing the essentials of life. What do we NEED in order to truly live to our full potential? We started by listing many of the leaders in the personal development, philosophical, and spiritual worlds, who have developed their own list of human needs. With all of this research, I decided that it was important to discover the essentials in my life, or inother words, what components must be present in order to TRULY LIVE? I realized that everyone has their own unique needs and place different values on what must exist in their lives. The freedom of choice, that we all possess, enables people to establish an identity for themselves. But with this being said, I realized that there are nine essential areas that lead to a life worth living.

I encourage you to think of a picture with nine buckets. Each bucket represents one of the essential principles to living a life with meaning. You have the ability to line up these buckets based on your values, but what you must keep in mind is that each bucket needs to be filled to the brim in order to thrive. I would like to forewarn you that it is possible to have bucket with a hole in the bottom. As you begin to fill this bucket, the substance leaks out, leaving you unfulfilled in this area of your life. The choice is to either get a new bucket or to plug the one you already have. What I realized when developing this philosophy is that in order to TRULY live in a way that you have never deemed possible, where you prove the impossible is possible, love each moment of each day, and embrace growth and prosperity, you must

LIVE in PEACE!

Love- There is nothing as profound like the ability to give and receive UNCONDITIONAL love. When we LOVE, and I mean truly LOVE, we Let Everyone View Everything, especially ourselves!

Importance- Deep down, we all want to be important and recognized. We want our life to have meaning and significance. There is nothing as painful as feeling like you do not even matter.

Vitality- Without your health and vitality, you have nothing. All of the money in the world means nothing without an excellent quality of life.

Excitement- A life without excitement is a life without meaning. We need to live as if each day were an adventure because the amount of uncertainty that you have in your life is directly correlated to miracles being born!

Purpose- In order to define your purpose, you must decide what brings passion into your life and use this emotion as the foundation to determine what you intend on giving back to this world.

Endurance- This enables you to prevail during any situation because there will always be some form of challenges that you need to face. Those who endure, who hold on for one second longer, are the ones who rise to a higher level while achieving their dreams.

Abundance- Living in abundance means that you are able to focus on everything you have, as opposed to everything you have yet to achieve. Your family, health, career, finances, and any other accomplishments, should add to your feeling of abundance.

Contribution- There is nothing as profound has contributing to the life of someone else. Whether you provide advice, support, guidance, money, or any other resource, giving for the sake of giving brings meaning into your existence.

Evolution- Stagnation is not an option in life because the world around you is in constant motion regardless of your level of involvement. This means that in order to evolve, you must always extend the perimeter of your comfort zone so that growth can occur.

The beauty of philosophy is that we all have the ability to create our own ways of thinking. Therefore, take these nine principles and arrange your proverbial buckets in whatever order resonates with you the most. If your life consists of five buckets or maybe ten, then please provide a comment below because I am always interested in learning the basic human needs of others. But what I want you to takeaway from this message is that you will choose the order, but you must fill each bucket over the course of your life. If there is a hole, fix it or get a new one. You obviously cannot “get a new life,” but you can change the way you are living by determining what you value most and how you want these values to be present in your life.

I thought this message would be important to share during the holiday season because this is a time that we often analyze, whether it is consciously or subconsciously, the most important components in our lives. We have time with our family, we have time with our friends, we have time with ourselves, and we must remember that in order to thrive during any of these times, we must LIVE in PEACE!

Happy Holidays to all of you who are celebrating and I encourage you to enjoy each moment of these festivities because YOU DESERVE IT!

I was in the supermarket about two weeks ago, and while checking out, I was overtaken by the energy of the clerk. He was an older gentleman, probably in his mid-60’s, but he possessed such an incredible sense of pride in serving his customers. After you paid, he would embrace your hand, look you in the eyes and in the most genuine and authentic manner say, “I hope all of your dreams become realities today.”  It was truly an experience to have this gentleman cross this boundary and care. He made you feel important because of his incredible sense of consciousness with each customer, and when it was my turn to check out, I asked him, “Why do you do, what you do?” His response was simple, yet profound, as he proudly announced, “Because I put my signature on everything I do.”

As I left the store, I wondered to myself, how many of us put our signatures on what we do? This does not only have to do with our careers, but also in our relationships, friendships, hobbies, lifestyle, and ultimately ourselves. The reason that someone would provide their John Hancock for the world to see is because they have an unquantifiable amount of pride in their life. Nothing about this type of pride is arrogant, but rather genuine and authentic because the person is proud of the image that looks back from the mirror every single day. They take ownership of their lives and all of the results which take place. These people awake each morning with a newfound sense of passion, even if their role is simply to check you out at a grocery store. These people do not allow their circumstances to dictate the level of pride that they exhibit throughout the day. These people work diligently to serve anyone who enters their world.

Your signature is something that will follow you, along with your reputation, the little things you do, and the gratification you demonstrate in all of your actions. If there is an area in your life where you hesitate to provide your signature and reveal your identity, then allow this blog post to be your personal wake-up call and to inspire you to begin taking pride in all areas of your life.

If you feel like you are unable to commit 100% of yourself to your relationship, career, lifestyle, or anything else in your world, then I encourage you to be honest with yourself and answer the following question:

Why am I incapable of putting my signature on this area in my life?

Your answer could be alarming because it might force you to realize that you are in the wrong relationship, wrong career, or making wrong choices for your well-being. This may result in break ups or divorce, career changes, or seeking help for whatever is impeding your health. It is important to understand that there is nothing to be ashamed of with this realization, and in all actuality, this newfound sense of consciousness is something to be proud of, when action is taken. I have always been an advocate of an all or nothing mentality, and although this may be slightly extreme for most, I do believe that this will result in your signature being displayed on everything that you do.

Therefore, the next time you go to the grocery store, I encourage you to think about how it would feel to be greeted by a 60 year old  man, who takes pride in all of his undertakings, and allows his  customers to feel like they are the most important people in his world  when simply purchasing some eggs, bread, and a gallon of milk. And  once you begin to envision this scenario, have this become who you  are in all of your actions, and put your signature on everything  you do.

I have spent the past five years of my life analyzing people and trying to determine what makes one individual thrive, while others simply survive. Thriving does not necessarily have anything to do with money, but rather with establishing a BRANDENTITY: living with purpose while remaining true to the image that looks back from the mirror every single day. What I have found is that the missing link for someone who is in a survival state, which happens to be a place where absolutely no growth occurs, is LIVING WITH PASSION. Passion is the prospect that something incredible is about to take place, but note that prospect is not a guarantee, rather a chance that your world will be a different place as a result of your potential achievements.

My personal opinion is that you can have all of the intellect and money in the world, but if you do not have passion and enthusiasm for life, you have nothing! The irony of this concept is that passion is the most powerful force known to mankind. It is important to realize that it can serve dual purposes in our existence, which means that as positive as passion can be, it can also be destructive in such a way that people will forever be changed due to its wrath. Let’s think about Bernard Madoff, Adolf Hitler, and Osama Bin Laden, because all three of these infamous figures had passion, which is how they were able to manipulate the lives of millions of people. All three of these men obviously had intellect, but if they were lacking in the passion department, there would have never been a $50 billion ponzi scheme, a Holocaust, or 9/11. These individuals used passion in a corrupt manner which resulted in millions of deaths and billions of dollars lost. I am sure that all of you will agree that their passion was overshadowed by their sickness and lack of self worth, but this point proves that this term can receive a derogatory reputation.

Beyond the negative publicity, passion also has the capacity to be the driving force for the Three I’s, or in other words Innovation, Impact, and Immortality. Steven Jobs, Oprah Winfrey, Warren Buffett and Biz Stone are currently doing what these three infamous men have done in the past, but the difference is that they not only have the secret formula of passion, but also an insatiable desire to influence the world in a positive way forever. All four of these individuals have contributed something profound to society, and as a result, could literally retire 100 times over, but their PASSION for INNOVATION, IMPACT and IMMORTALITY continues to keep their internal bonfire alive.

So let’s begin to relate this concept to your world because this could be the reason that you are currently “stuck” in survival mode. I started this email by stating that I have spent the past five years analyzing what enables people to thrive, and the one commonality is PASSION. This passion was not limited to one area of an individual’s life, but rather overflows into their career, family, relationships, personal well-being, etc. Passion is part of everything that you do and becomes viral, exuding positive energy to influence all of the people in your world, allowing them to realize that everyone is born with the capacity to LIVE WITH PASSION. The positive ‘passionites’ from above have found a way to create a cult-like following with millions of people from around the world simply because of their love for life and their insatiable desire to consistently own the Three I’s. You do not need to be a “celebrity” to exude passion. You can make the commitment today and make a conscious effort everyday going forward to refuse to live a life with a missing link, and instead, to fill this void with the prospect that something incredible is about to take place…PASSION!
