"I have a challenge for you today…SELL!" - Jared Yellin


I am always fascinated by people who hide behind their “selling limiting beliefs.”


“I don’t want to pressure people…”

“I don’t want to appear money motivated…”

“I don’t want to hear NO…”


I often ask people why they default to this association with sales.


Where did it come from?

Why does it linger?

What will it take to eliminate it?


The most common response I get when asking these questions is…


“I don’t want to appear salesy.”


So we then proceed…


Tell me about ONE time when someone was TOO salesly for you…


Usually, people have ZERO examples or ONE, but not enough to avoid selling so what this leads me to believe is…


People Are Afraid To Hear NO!


I hate to say this but...I DON’T BUY IT!


I don’t believe you when you say you don’t want to appear salesy…

I don’t believe you when you say you don’t want to pressure someone…

I don’t believe you when you make the assumption that someone is not interested…


All of this boils down to one hard fact…


You don’t want to hear the word NO!


NO to you represents…


You are not good enough…

You are not worthy…

Your product or service sucks…

You won’t amount to anything…


And the list of BS statements continue all because of the FEAR associated with one word that actually means the EXACT opposite of what you HEAR.


NO for me means…


TELL ME MORE!


It means the person does not have enough information to make a decision…

It means the person does not see what the decision will elicit in their lives…

It means the person might already know they don’t need your product/service…


And all of the above is PERFECT…


It’s called PROGRESS…


Either PROGRESS in the direction of explaining what you are selling OR the benefits OR moving on to someone who needs what you offer.


But to hold onto this limiting belief of…


“I don’t want to appear salesy…”


“I need to call you out…”


STOP being afraid of a word which is NOT a personal attack nor is it representative of the value you bring to the world nor does it portray that your product/service is not worthy.


The person said NO…


“Tell me more…”

“Help me see what I don’t see…”

“I don’t need it right now…”


Pretty harmless - right?!


Here is one thing you should know about me, which you may LOVE or you may detest and I am completely cool with either…


I FREAKIN LOVE TO SELL!


I live for it…

I yearn for it…

I salivate at the chance to deploy it…


And WHEN I hear NO - which is WAYYYY more often than you since I am ALWAYS selling, this is what I actually hear…


“Tell me more…”

“Help me see what I can’t…”

“It’s not the right time…”


What I DON’T hear is…


“You are not good enough…”

“Your product/service sucks…”

“You are annoying…”


Do you realize that your entire life will transform if you reassociate what NO actually means?!?!


But before we go down the path of your transformation…


Can we agree that your “I don’t want to be salesy,” is 100% based on your FEAR OF NO??


I really encourage you to OWN THIS because once you can recognize that FEAR is what is leading to your selling limiting belief you will be CURED from this doubt - I literally mean CURED forever!


Okay, now let’s focus on WHY this reassociation of the word NO will transform your life…


If you are anything like me, you believe that your product, service, mission, and/or cause will radically change something….


Lives

Environment

Animals

Wealth

World

Health

Etc.


And if you have this level of belief around what you offer the world then the reassociation of the word NO means that there is officially nothing standing between you MORE YES’S!


Please read this again…


Now that you realize your FEAR OF NO is what limited your ability to sell and you are cured of this doubt forever, there is nothing standing between YOU and RADICALLY making a change when someone says YES!


BREAKTHROUGH!!!!!!!!


This is why I am able to sell NON-STOP and EVERYDAY and love the entire process…


YES, I hear NO for sure…

YES, I hear YES wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy more because I have NO fear of NO!


AND...


I only SELL when I know it will TRANSFORM.


Someone MUST be better with me than without me...PERIOD!


When I am selling someone to partner with CILA Labs it’s because I am 1000000% certain that they are better with us than without us…


When I am selling someone to join ChangeMaker Ventures it’s because I am 1000000% certain that they are better with us than without us…


When I am selling someone to sign up for SYNDUIT it’s because I am 1000000% certain that they are better with us than without us…


And because of this CERTAINTY around the transformation I am about to produce the thought of not pursuing this outcome because of one two letter word (NO) does not even enter my mind…


And here’s why...


It’s my moral responsibility to help people say YES when YES is what will lead to their transformation.
