For many many years as an entrepreneur I spent too much time in my wax…
This was the time when my companies were growing the slowest…
I could sense my impact was suboptimal…
I knew I was falling short of my desired outcome..
AND my energy and enthusiasm were undesirable…
I remember doing an exercise by myself where I took a sheet of paper and answered the questions I poised shortly before…

The answers that emerged from these questions became the reason I launched CILA Labs because I am in my absolute FLAME during the IDEA phase of a company where we have a clean slate, a world of limitless possibilities, and the need for human ingenuity to validate, fund, and accelerate this idea into a company that is prepared for rapid velocity as a stable company.
I am the FOUNDATION guy…
I build the foundation in business and then I turn it over to a team to operationalize that business so that it reaches its full potential.
This is the 0-10% phase, typically the 1-12 months and once the foundation is established, I immediately fall into my wax and become stuck.
But here’s what is sooo powerful about your FLAME…
When you KNOW your FLAME (and your WAX) then you can seek out teammates where your FLAME represents their wax and their flame represents your WAX.
When you can align FLAMES, you create what we call a BONFIRE and nothing can stop a bonfire.

Most people never think about their flame and their wax, but I do and I help our entire team find their flame and their wax as well and then I position them to remain in flame for at least 90% of the day.
