I Am Only Using Myself As An Example To Help You Identify With Someone Who ALWAYS Says “YES ME!”
There has been nothing about my life that has come easy…
Every turn was a challenge…
Every decision was riddled with unknown…
Every commitment was met with wild levels of adversity…
My parents went through a VERY messy divorce…
I have had multiple frivolous lawsuits representing $100,000's in legal fees…
I acquired a company in 2012 that was an absolute dud and had to reverse the transaction…
I had team members do extremely unethical things in the office…
My children have experienced injuries…
We were forced to move to maintain our Freedom of Choice in less than a week…
I ran out of money at SYNDUIT 4x…
I have had many troubling personal relationships...
Just so you know, this is what comes to mind - there are DOZENS of other challenges that have become significant milestones in my life.
BUT the key is this…
YES ME
YES ME
YES ME
And NEVER…
WHY ME!
I am excited when the universe challenges me because I know it’s going to make me bigger, stronger, more agile, and more capable. And just so you know, this is not me trying to convince myself that this moment was a breakthrough - rather - my default is bring it on.
But What Makes Me Different Than You?
Nothing other than maybe one thing if you are default is WHY ME…
I refuse to live in pain…
I refuse to allow a circumstance to control my life…
I refuse to quit on what I want…
WHY ME people have chosen to live inside of their circumstances and then they have chosen to allow their circumstances to become their identity.
I can already hear the person who has a “tough life” saying…
EASY FOR YOU TO SAY!
You are married to your love…
You have two healthy children…
You live in a beautiful home…
You are a successful entrepreneur…
You are healthy…
And yes - you are 100% right - I am all of this and MORE, but the reason is NOT because I have had it any easier than you, rather…
I default to BRING IT ON!
I default to I AM POWERFUL BEYOND MEASURE!
I default to I AM UNSTOPPABLE!
I default to YES ME!
And just trust me when I say…
Your life is not more or less challenging than mine…
EVERYONE has challenges…
EVERYONE has obstacles…
EVERYONE has setbacks…
And only a few people get even more focused, hungry, and energized when life happens TO YOU while it happens FOR ME!
