Staring You In The Eyes

“Sometimes the obvious is the most difficult to see.”

-Jared Yellin

What action do you take when you feel stuck?

Do nothing?

Keep on keeping on directly into a wall?

Pivot ever so slightly?

Dramatic change?

I believe that most people either do nothing or walk into the wall because both of these options appear to feel the safest.

Doing nothing has an impression of zero risk, while walking directly into a wall provides people with an excuse as to why they don’t have what they ultimately need and desire.

But remember…

The most obvious is the most difficult to see.

Maybe YOUR OBVIOUS is your mediocre relationship...

Maybe YOUR OBVIOUS is your poor health...

Maybe YOUR OBVIOUS is your dead-end career...

Maybe YOUR OBVIOUS is your fear to fire someone who has outstayed their welcome…

Everyone has ONE of MANY obvious(es)...

And what’s fascinating about the obvious(es) is the intentional blind spot they represent.

People in crappy relationships, know it!

People with poor health, know it!

People in a dead-end career, know it!

People who need to fire someone, know it!

But remember…

The most obvious is the most difficult to see.

But what is YOUR obvious(es) were actually obvious.

Here’s a secret…

They ARE!

You know that doing nothing or walking directly into a wall is NOT going to get you what you want in the specific domain, but you do it anyway.

I share this because everyone is faced with the obvious dilemma.

They KNOW what to do - but they just don’t do it.

My hope and my desire is that this article opens your eyes to your obvious(es) and you pivot slightly or make a radical change.

Live with Intention,
