Does Fame + Internal Demons Correlate?

“What if every limitation from your past became your catalyst for sustained greatness. It’s time. It’s time. It’s time. RE-WRITE your story in your words, with your meaning, and your OUTCOME.”

- Jared Yellin

One of the most disturbing outcomes that tends to get publicized rather intensely is the correlation between fame and internal demons.

It feels like when someone reaches the pinnacle of their success and impact, they implode, and self-sabotage which leads to the deconstruction of their identity, but even worse, a myriad of other people who suffer along the way.

For those of you who know me, I literally never watch the news, know nothing about pop-culture, and might watch one movie a year.

So, I am not going to use any specific reference for “another case of self-sabotage,” but what I am going to do is ask a question…

Does success, fame, wealth, significance, etc. breed insecurity, doubt, demons, and implosion?

OR

Is this a deep-rooted self-mastery challenge which would have reared its head regardless, but since the person had significance more people find out?

Here’s what I believe…

I believe everyone is born confident and then through life experiences inherits deep levels of insecurity and pain…

“You are not good enough…”

“You are not smart enough…”

“You are too fat, too thin, too awkward, too tall…”

“You can’t write, you can’t sing, you can’t dance…”

“You don’t have what it takes to be an entrepreneur…”

And SOME (I emphasize) SOME people use these bold statements as their ammunition to prove that person or people WRONG.

They work harder…

They hang on longer…

They fight and keep fighting for what they want to achieve…

And guess what…

They freaking GET IT!

They get the success…

They get the accolades…

They get the significance…

They get it ALL, but one thing…

They never address the pain!

Instead, they muscled through it…

They bled their way to success...

Choose to ignore it…

But never rewrote it!

And these are the people that have the correlation between FAME and DEMONS!

Their demons are deep-rooted and even if they were able to muscle their way to fame - which they have - if they never addressed the source of their pain...it will eventually take them down!

This is NOT a therapeutic or coaching discussion…

This is a challenge to INTROSPECT and to gain MEANING, UNDERSTANDING, CLARITY, and most importantly… FREAKIN APPRECIATION for every person who doubted you...for every person who said you were unworthy and for every person who attempted to hold you back because of their own insecurities…

APPRECIATION LOOKS LIKE THIS…

THANK YOU __________________ for saying what you said, doing what you did, and showing up in my life when you were present...it’s BECAUSE of you, that I am who I am and I am forever grateful that our paths crossed because you lit my fire and now I am committed to helping other people light theirs.

This is NOT a mantra…

This is NOT positive self-talk…

This is NOT anything other than…

What one must do so that when they begin to RISE…

They don’t fall just as quickly…

GO DEEP!!!

FEEL IT!!!

HONOR IT!!!

LOVE IT!!!

And freakin RE-WRITE your story in your words, with your meaning, and your OUTCOME!

Let’s tear down those demons and let’s help you experience whatever level of fame, impact, and success you want WITHOUT any self-sabotage.

Live with Intention,
