When I see someone who has something and they don’t even know it...I go all out!
It becomes my monomaniacal focus to help them see what I see within them…
When I say the word something, what I am referring to is...
Their gift.
Their genius.
Their flame.
What makes them the legend that they are.
What is soooo absolutely fascinating is that people with the greatest gift, genius, and flame, often have no idea this superpower exists...
What’s even more fascinating is that EVERYone has a gift, genius, and flame which represents their superpower, but at least 99.9999999% of humanity is clueless when it comes to accessing it or even what it is…
What’s even more + more fascinating is that EVERYone has the ability to see the gift, genius, and flame of the people they are around most often, but they don’t light it, catalyze it, or even let the person know what they see.
Let Me Simplify This Because What You Are About To Realize Is THE Solution To Many Of The Challenges That Exist In The World…
99.9999999% of people don’t know that they have a gift, genius, and flame.
EVERYone has the ability to see the gift, genius, and flame of the people they are around most often.
What this means is that #2 is able to enlighten #1 and when #1 is made aware of their gift, genius, and flame they are now able to focus on it, use it, and make a seismic difference in their world, which simultaneously impacts the entire world.
And the reason this is sooooo darn important is because when you step into #2, you are enabling someone else to step into their #1 and when everyone brings awareness for gifts, genius, and flames they will soon become aware of their gifts, genius, and flames when someone else shares what they see in them!
You might call this a compliment, but it’s much bigger and deeper than just a few kind words strung together…
When you express what you see in someone that they don’t see in themselves it’s much more significant than saying...
You look pretty today…
Or
Great job the other day…
Or
You should be proud of yourself…
This is getting into the core of the reason they exist...why are they valuable?
And most people never do this because it makes them uncomfortable to speak that openly with someone else…
They hedge…
They hide…
They suppress…
Think About This…
Almost every person I know who gives a compliment is unable to look the person in the eyes when they are saying something nice.
And if a compliment is a fraction of a fraction of a fraction of expressing the gifts, genius, and flame of someone, then not only will people be unable to look that person in the eyes, but most likely, they won’t even share it.
For example…
There is a wonderful woman on my team, Katie V. who has brought a level of certainty to my life as an entrepreneur unlike anything that I have ever experienced before, but I always knew that I needed it…
She thinks about me at all times of the day…
She strives to ensure my life is focused on my flame…
She does things that I don’t even realize and never drops the ball…
She can carry herself in any situation…
She understands the power of humor…
She is a freakin leader...
She is loyal and committed to what we are building…
She is reliable and believes in herself…
And guess what…
I tell her what I see ALL OF THE TIME!
I don’t assume that she knows what makes her so exceptionally valuable in my life.
I express it…
I tell her how important she is and WHY…
I tell her how committed I am to her and WHY…
I tell her how she makes my life easier and WHY…
And I lay the emotion out there for her so she can feel it at the deepest level…
And guess what happens…
She takes her exceptional gift, genius, and flame to the next level - EVERY TIME - because she steps into a place where she can now see what I see within her and can access it with even more intention going forward.
AND AND - this is NOT the standard “corporate” dialogue, rather, it’s exactly the type of dialogue that is missing in business, in life, and in the world.
It’s open and honest dialogue that looks something like this…
“You are important because…”
“You are amazing because…”
“You are special because…”
“Your skill is unreal because…”
I see you…
I hear you…
What you say and do and create matters to me!
Why Is This Missing?
I am not sure why emotion has left the boardroom…
I am not sure why emotion has left the bedroom…
I am not sure why emotion has left the world…
But somewhere and at some point we were told that expressing your feelings to other people would make you weak, would lead to the loss of leverage, and would put you in a vulnerable state.
And as long as you embrace this fallacy as your truth, this is what happens…
People in your world will walk around blindly, not knowing what you see.
People in your world will not experience their gift, genius, and flame.
People in your world will remain insecure, in doubt, and lacking the confidence to access their true self.
You can easily say this is not your responsibility, but when was EASY the right path forward?!?!
I challenge you right here and right now (aka TODAY!)
Call ONE Person Who Does Not See What You See And Tell Them…
Hold back nothing…
Talk about their role in your life and why it matters…
Talk about them as a parent…
Talk about them as a human...
Talk about why they are valuable…
And here’s my guarantee…
And then…
You will be a #1 in your life and someone will step into their #2 and help you see what you don’t see and this process will go around and around and around again because I mean this when I say it…
I believe that people want the world to see their real self more than ever before…
They just don’t know who this is…
They just don’t know how to access it…
They just don’t believe it matters…
But you and I both know - you can help someone figure it out, access it, and make it matter!
And I promise it will come back to you as well...
